Postgraduate DAOM & PhD (China) Program

Earn a PhD from a TCM University in China while simultaneously earning your DAOM degree. The Ph.D. degree is acknowledged by foreign credential review agencies as equivalent to a Ph.D. in the U.S. 

You can apply for the Ph.D. program after six months of attendance in the Postgraduate DAOM program, or anytime following graduation. The minimum amount of time to complete the program is three years. 

The Ph.D. degree program is offered at the following locations:

    • Zhejiang Chinese Medical University
    • Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
    • Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
    • Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
    • Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine

You will spend one month each year (over a three-year period), studying at your chosen university in China. Or you will be required to spend four months at your chosen university in the third year, and additional online study must be planned accordingly.

Costs of the program and eligibility requirements vary depending on the university you apply to. Students who hold a passport from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau are not eligible for the Ph.D. Program.
